Meccano Accountability

As we all know, kids love to play their games, but when it comes to tidying up they are often a little less enthusiastic. Unfortunately (for them), the students of LA19 not only had to clear up after making their Meccano models, but they also had to account for all the parts. The process was very precise with twelve boxes of Meccano having to be sorted, matched against the inventory of parts and approved as complete. This was a great learning opportunity for the students as they focused on their organisational skills and their senses of responsibility and accountability. Check out the photo of Indianna to see how it was done.

  1. Mr Hope,

Oh, the strife of when you are three four steps away of finishing then you realise that you forgot a piece. Looks like Meccano still rocks!!! 🙂

  2. Michael, this is something I’ll do for many years to come. It has so many educational benefits to it and, as you know, the students love it.
