Ask any teacher in a government school in Australia and I can guarantee that they’ll tell you there’s never enough access to technology in class (well, I would). Recently we’ve bitten the bullet, dipped our toe and jumped right in to a “bring your own device” (BYOD) programme where the students bring in their iPads or tablets to use in class. From my perspective, this has been very long overdue and has been a great asset to the students. They arrive in class eager to get working and I’ve been able to utilise much more technology than I used to. Some photos below show the students hard at work.
